Oral Allergy Syndrome
It is related to allergic rhinitis otherwise known as hay fever.
Oral allergy syndrome. OAS most commonly occurs in people with asthma or hay fever from tree pollen who eat fresh raw fruits or vegetables. Oral allergy syndrome OAS also called pollen-food allergy syndrome is a type of food allergy brought about by flavors nuts raw fruit and vegetables. OAS is connected to environmental allergies such as hay fever.
These symptoms are most commonly itching or tingling but swelling may also occur. People affected by PFAS can usually eat the same fruits. The patient is sensitized with pollen via the airways and exhibits an allergic reaction to food antigen with a structural similarity to the pollen.
Oral Allergy Syndrome There are many individuals with seasonal hayfever symptoms itchy eye and nose sneezing and nasal congestion who may also experience allergic symptoms in and around the mouth after eating certain foods. The most well-known symptoms are mouth and throat itching which starts rapidly after a food is placed in the mouth and that as a rule continues for just a couple of minutes after the food has been swallowed. This type of reaction is know as Oral Allergy Syndrome.
